CODI + KADEN: ENGAGED

I am such a fan of these two. I won't go into detail here, but let's just say basically nothing about this shoot went according to the original plan. Codi + Kaden took the evening in stride like champs. Kaden even found our final location (that lovely limestone!) himself. Sessions like this make me so thankful for the clients I have. I'm so excited for you guys to begin your new life together just a little less than a month from now! I know the day will be full of loved ones, laughter, maybe a few tears, and so much celebrating!

Donning a dress and cutoffs respectively, Codi and I took our shoes off and waded across this little creek. Cold, but easy peasy. Kaden however took a more adventurous way back. Yall, a brief moment occurred where I thought our groom-to-be might end up soaked in his nicest duds but bravery + athleticism prevailed. That look of sweet relief post landing in that last image is priceless.

ANN MARIE + RICHARD: ENGAGED

Connectedness, I'm all about it yall. Richard, Ann Marie, and I are all from the same home town. Ann Marie is a sorority sister to my actual sister. Richard and my dad used to work out together (ok so maybe they just happened to use the same gym at the same time. often. ha). Richard's dad has removed almost all of the Shipley's wisdom teeth. We all call Redeemer home. And lets be honest, there was a semester where the 3 of us basically should have just paid rent at Yellow House  instead of our respective residences.

These two are as authentic as they come and well loved by many. Ann Marie + Richard, I so enjoyed spending the afternoon with yall, braving  the oh-so-typical + unpredictable Lubbock weather!

I so enjoyed spending Saturday of Valentine's weekend with these two lovebirds, trekking around Lake Waco Dam! And I've got to be honest yall, a session that ends with a trip to Chuy's for some creamy j, delicious Tex-Mex, and quality conversation is basically the definition of a successful session in my book. So excited for this couple's wedding in just seven short weeks!
