KAITLYN + BLAKE : HITCHED

WEDDINGSMegan WhitehurstComment

Oh this day. My friend Julianne second shot this wedding with me and multiple times throughout the day + in the weeks to come we looked at / texted each other saying "Was that real? Did something that dreamy and magical really just happen? And wait did we actually get to be a part of it?" And the answer is yes yall. Yes we did.

Kaitlyn + Blake are one of a kind, everyone wants know em, drop-everything-for-their-friends, deep thinking, and good time having people. They manage to love both deeply and broadly; a quality that's rare to come across. Their wedding took place at the Paramount, an elegant downtown theatre, and in my humble opinion, the best venue in Abilene. Although the details were lovely and the location quite dreamy, their day was made most special by the people they chose to surround themselves with. It was a joy and a privilege to watch Kaitlyn's + Blake's friends and family love and celebrate them so well.

Oh and yes that is a custom movie poster you're seeing-- handmade by the groom himself! The owners of the theatre said they had multiple parties call that day trying to buy tickets to see The Fantastic Mr. and Mrs. Fox.

Kaitlyn + Blake thanks again for trusting me to capture this happy happy day. I count myself blessed and honored to know yall!

MISSY + JIM : HITCHED

I always said I could never live in Houston. And then I spent a handful of days in the heart of the city, celebrating this lovely couple.

MIssy + Jim are the kind of friends that everyone wishes they had in their lives. Kind, inclusive, authentic, and giving. Getting to watch these people love each other and be loved by their family and friends was a joy and a privilege! Now don't get me wrong, I'm not packing my bags for Houston just yet, but getting to be a part of this wedding has definitely redeemed the city for me. Enjoy!

Also, I am oh so behind on blogging. My apologies yall. I do have a good excuse though. #gradschool  Be expecting some catch up posts in the weeks to come!

A thousand thanks to Lindie Northup for heading down to Texas to shoot with me.
